What is MicroGrid?
MicroGrid is a complete home energy service that combines rooftop solar panels, a 80 kWh battery system, and seamless integration with all types of home generators. It delivers lower and predictable energy costs, and backup power when the grid goes down. MicroGrid is available as a new installation or an upgrade to any existing solar system.
Who is eligible for MicroGrid?
All Texas homeowners are eligible — whether you’re new to solar and batteries or already have solar and want to upgrade. There is no credit check, no income requirement, and no credit report impact.
How much does it cost?
You pay a fixed monthly payment that is guaranteed to not increase for 30 years. The monthly payment is calculated based on two scenarios:
Scenario 1: 100% OR MORE offset customers – If the solar system will provide 100% offset or more to the previous 12-month consumption, the monthly payment is calculated based on your previous 12 months of energy consumption and is equal to $0.12 per kWh (all taxes and fees included).
Scenario 2: LESS THAN 100% offset customers – If the solar system will provide LESS THAN 100% offset, the monthly payment is calculated based on the year one kWh production of the solar system and is equal to $0.12 per kWh.
IMPORTANT: The minimum monthly payment for any MicroGrid system is $60.00
What's included?
For new customers: maximum-roof coverage solar panel installation, 80 kWh battery backup, integration with existing or planned home generators. For existing solar users: additional solar panels (where possible), 80 kWh battery system. Both come with a 20-year production guarantee, full system insurance, and long-term service and support.
Do I need to claim tax credits or handle financing?
No — all tax credits and depreciation for the MicroGrid are assigned to our strategic partner(s) through a Power Purchase Service Agreement (PPA). In return, the customer receives a low, fixed monthly payment for reliable, clean energy and backup power — with no tax paperwork or secured financing on your end.
What are the benefits?

How does the installation or upgrade process work?
Review home or existing system to determine available capacity. Verify 12 months of energy usage (or use an estimator for new move-ins). Sign the Power Purchase Service Agreement. Schedule installation or upgrade. We handle installation, generator integration, activation, insurance, and long-term support.
What if move or sell my home?
The system stays with the home and adds value for resale. It can transfer to the new owner.
Is the equipment made in the USA?
Yes — the Inverter, Batteries, Racking, and other components are made in the USA.
Will I still have a utility bill?
Yes, you will always need to stay connected to the grid, but it will be a small connection fee and in most cases, it will be $0. Most utilities have a base monthly charge to stay connected. If you consume more power than your MicroGrid produces, then you will buy the additional power from your utility at a reduced rate.
Do I own the system?
No – Our strategic partner owns and insures the system; you get the energy, backup power, and benefits.

Why do you install so many batteries?
We install more batteries to deliver whole-home backup and to participate in grid programs that further lower costs and help support the grid.
Will this system back up my entire home?
Each home is unique in their energy requirements, so our electrical design experts do an in-depth review of your electrical loads after conducting a site assessment. You will be notified after the design stage is complete what we can and cannot back up. The 80kWh of batteries are strong enough to power all the outlets in your home, including refrigerators, computers, dishwasher, microwave etc. The questionable items will be AC Units, Pool Pumps, and Electric Dryers.
Is there an ROI for me?
This is structured as a service, not an investment — your value comes from reliable, predictable, low-cost energy with no upfront costs.
Why is the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) price higher than my finance price?
The reason the PPA agreement shows a higher amount is because it reflects the full 20-year value of the MicroGrid energy, storage, service, and production guarantees that we are providing. The 20-year forecast for future energy prices is extremely high. The tax credits, depreciation, grid services, and the future referrals you will provide us are then considered before we calculate your unsecured, unreported, in-house loan that comes with a low fixed monthly payment.
